CNY ramblings. dong dong chiang..

as an abroad student, one should expect he or she will be unable to celebrate special dates back home.

Especially those who is gonna be abroad for a long time... like bunny here.

You think it will get easier, but it wont.

Especially this time round my batch mates are going back for Chinese New Year since there's a two week break.

I expected myself to go back too... but apparently it is viable. sadly.

So i am alone in an empty household.

Don get me wrong, i went out everyday, from lunch till midnight tarot readings (yeah i still do that, i am a tarot card reader if u guys arent aware)

But it still feels bad.

i am not the clingy, home sick kind of guy, but i guess this time its particularly worse, i guess its because i actually can go back, but my plan sunk.

gong xi gong xi ni.... four years and counting...

for those who complained about nosy aunties and busy hectic family drama, i will tell you this, i will sway any day.

For nosy aunties, you cant expect them to change their questions, because they don know you well enough. They cant move on to other questions because you might gonna see each other once a year. But they want to be a part of your life, and wad could be easier than asking about your romance and career? If you are annoyed of it, its just because you are aware of it too, one can easily mistake the questions as a malicious reminder of your sad single life. But don worry, they them talk, smile and said you r busy with your life at the moment. Ask them about their lives too, it has to be a two way thing.

CNY is one of the best memories in my life and i keep wanting to go back to relive it. Sometimes, okay, most of the times we kept saying that it wasnt as good as the last time, because you will always retain the idea that cny is the best flashy day you get to be a part of. The cycle will keep on going, you will sooner or later be the one buying the fireworks, and you will want to make it the best ever, because you want the next generation to see it that way too.

That is how i see it.

And that is how i believe it.

Happy chinese new year peeps.

  1. Happy CNY Bunny!!! I do see a day or period which I don't get to celebrate CNY with the family in the future though; but I might be enjoying it!
