CNY ramblings. dong dong chiang..

as an abroad student, one should expect he or she will be unable to celebrate special dates back home.

Especially those who is gonna be abroad for a long time... like bunny here.

You think it will get easier, but it wont.

Especially this time round my batch mates are going back for Chinese New Year since there's a two week break.

I expected myself to go back too... but apparently it is viable. sadly.

So i am alone in an empty household.

Don get me wrong, i went out everyday, from lunch till midnight tarot readings (yeah i still do that, i am a tarot card reader if u guys arent aware)

But it still feels bad.

i am not the clingy, home sick kind of guy, but i guess this time its particularly worse, i guess its because i actually can go back, but my plan sunk.

gong xi gong xi ni.... four years and counting...

for those who complained about nosy aunties and busy hectic family drama, i will tell you this, i will sway any day.

For nosy aunties, you cant expect them to change their questions, because they don know you well enough. They cant move on to other questions because you might gonna see each other once a year. But they want to be a part of your life, and wad could be easier than asking about your romance and career? If you are annoyed of it, its just because you are aware of it too, one can easily mistake the questions as a malicious reminder of your sad single life. But don worry, they them talk, smile and said you r busy with your life at the moment. Ask them about their lives too, it has to be a two way thing.

CNY is one of the best memories in my life and i keep wanting to go back to relive it. Sometimes, okay, most of the times we kept saying that it wasnt as good as the last time, because you will always retain the idea that cny is the best flashy day you get to be a part of. The cycle will keep on going, you will sooner or later be the one buying the fireworks, and you will want to make it the best ever, because you want the next generation to see it that way too.

That is how i see it.

And that is how i believe it.

Happy chinese new year peeps.

Being a christian doesnt make u right

Hi guys, sorry for the long overhaul. Exams came and went, now I am busy doing some project thing. Yeap. Life. Trying to get some rest, but things kept piling up. This is one good thing abt being a science student; you don’t really have a good rest if u will it. You are just delaying things. There seems to be no end.

Anyways, speaking  abt science student’s professionalism, I recently had a weird scenario on fb.

As I was procrastinating like always on fb, I came across an article shared by a dude who is both a junior doctor and a holy Christian at the same time.

His title is the mark of the beast is coming, as stated in the bible 2000 years ago.

It is an article about Europe babies are forced to have microchip implanted in their arms.

And this mark of the beast shenanigan is basically in the last chapter of the bible, they predicted that at the end of time, satan or wad not put the mark of the beat on everyone and Christian will have a hard time waging war against this. Honestly, to me it sounds like an anti-government message, and if u resist long enough, you will be ensured rapture. Rapture as in you will be born again. Born again as in, you will go to heaven.  And a few years ago, people seem to think that this mark of the beast is some microchip thing. I am not too sure myself, so don screw me if my knowledge abt the bible is horribly wrong. I am a Christian btw =p

The minute I saw the article, I recognize the picture shown is in fact a bio stamp. A bio stamp is more of a marker to show how well are u, in terms of fluid balance, temperature yada yada. Its no microchip.

And just to make sure, I googles it and it is a bio stamp, so I try to give him a benefit of a doubt by reading the article. The article has no source, and the government has no official news abt forcing microchip into people, which if you rationally think abt it, its kinda stupid if it’s a forced policy. There are no other articles abt this, so naturally I assume its fake.

So, on good faith, because I know he is a keen medic so he appreciated the impact of sharing false panic induced news, I posted a comment, “xx, that’s a biostamp, and there is no official news or a reliable source with this. So I think this is fake….”

After a few hours, I realized, to my surprised, my comment is deleted.

Wwwuuudddddd?

He still shared the news.

I don’t really understand, I don’t think my comment offended him, though by right as a medic he should check the validity of the article anyway. So y he deleted my comment, except: one, he strongly disagreed that it was fake, two, he realized it was fake, so just to save face he deleted my comment.

I don’t mind anything actually, because there are a lot of dumb ppl on fb, but knowing that this article is fake, yet he still continue sharing it, if it isn’t his pride, it should be his religion. Or…. He just thinks that this gets him more likes, and my comment will prevent him from tat.

Gosh, really, none of the options really put him under a good light.

I was so tempted to annoy him by playing dumb and comment once more, adding ‘strange, someone deleted my comments.’

Or just be straight forward and said, ‘xx why my comments disappeared?’

Well, but I don’t want to be rude, so I just turned a blind eye.

But really, if u share something based on religion and you used religion to justify wad is clearly not right. I sincerely think it’s a wakeup call to reflect on whether you truly are on the right path or not.

Being a religious Christian, is not the same as being holy or closer to God. It is good for you and your faith if you hang out with the down to earth Christians. However this can work both way, you can easily sunk to a cult level if you are with like-mind, twisted people.

So really, guys think abt it, if at one time where you are telling yourself: its okay to do this, I am doing this for God. Or its okay for doing something bad to others because they r non-believers and they won’t mind. Stop, breath and think.

Stalker or hopeless romantic? (or both lol)

I just read a news on Yahoo (I know, i know, i am weird for still using yahoo, shut it google fans lol). It is about Reese McKee who was 25, launched an all-out Internet search for a girl who he met last new years eve. He met her during a night where she was found sobbing because she lost her friends or something. Then they hung out for a night, before she left, he took a picture of her, which is now the proud cover photo of his 'find me my love of my life' facebook page which garnered more than 4000 fans.

Before you go awwww..... think, don you think its creepy?

I mean, if a guy post a facebook page asking facebook people to pin and hunt me, i would b flattered, yes, but i think i will think this dude is a weirdo. When 2000 plus ppl started fb msg-ing me demanding if i am his object of affection, I will be terrified.

I had my fair share of experience about infatuatious pursuers, so i think speaking truthfully, this will put me off than making me turn on. Unless i have a thing for stalkers, whether its real or in cyberspace.

But then again, nowadays there is a bottomless pit of narcissistic gay people, so this act should be a perfect confession for them i guess. Think all this hype generated just for him!!!!!!!

Well the girl deleted her social media, which i think is a justified and sane thing to do.

"McKee noted — he explained the launch of his online search to the world. “I was hurt a long time ago. The hopeless romantic in me was locked away when he got hurt because it was too much,” he wrote. “I hope to find her. And along the way, find myself.”  "

OH JEEZ GROW UP!!!!! *Flips table*

People really read too many chick flick nowadays.

I definitely think tat he is well fitted in the weird category. Anyone actually thinks this is romantic? z
